Membership FAQ

Have questions about Binghamton Zoo membership? Click on the question below to find answers to our most frequently asked questions about becoming a member. If you have any additional questions, please contact our Development Department at (607) 724-5461 ext. 231.

There are multiple ways to become a member:

  • Download a PDF version of our membership form and send it to 185 Park Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13903 with payment
  • Purchase or renew your membership using our online form
  • Call the Development Department at (607) 724-5461 ext. 231
  • In season: Stop by the zoo’s ticket booth and fill out the form with payment (apply up to $25 of that day’s admission toward the cost of a Family Membership)
  • Free admission to Binghamton Zoo for one full year
  • A subscription to “Howlings,” Binghamton Zoo’s newsletter
  • Addition to our email newsletter list (monthly updates on exhibits, events, etc.)
  • A 10% discount on all merchandise at our Zoovenir’s Gift Shop
  • Discounts on Binghamton Zoo special events and programs
  • Admission to Roberson Museum, Kopernik Observatory, Phelps Mansion and the Discovery Center for only $3.00
  • Free or reduced admission to participating reciprocal zoos and aquariums in the United States
  • Free or reduced admission to participating reciprocal gardens of the American Horticultural Society
As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on membership and attendance to support our facility. Both adults, in the same household, must have their names on the card. We appreciate your understanding.
It will take approximately one week to receive, process, and send out your membership. If you do not receive your membership 3 weeks after submitting the form, please call the membership coordinator at (607) 724-5461 ext. 231.
To purchase a membership as a gift, fill out the gift recipient information on the membership form. You have the option of having it sent to you or to them directly.
Memberships are non-transferable and can only be used by the listed names on the card. As a non-profit organization, we rely on your support and we try very hard to keep our membership prices affordable for many in the community. Both adults listed on the card must reside in the same household.
To replace a lost card, please call the membership coordinator at (607) 724-5461 ext. 231 or purchase one online using the membership form. There will be a $5 card replacement fee.
When purchasing your membership, we ask for your e-mail for many reasons. You will receive zoo updates about members-only events, upcoming special events and discounts, new animal arrivals, and much more. It also allows us to conserve paper and postage when it’s time for you to renew your membership!

A portion of your membership cost is tax deductible. Please consult a tax professional for more information.
You can find our updated reciprocal list on the membership page of our website. We recommend you call the facility ahead of time to confirm details and conditions of admission.
